Why I Love Gymnastic Pictures
If you are a gymnastics enthusiast you have so many options today than you did several decades ago. You can go look at the internet and look at gymnastic pictures from almost any decade. They go back to the very first women's gymnastics team from 1928. The starting of the US women's gymnastics team made its debut in 1936 at the Olympics in Berlin Germany. It is amazing to go and see back at the history of women's gymnastics.
You can find gymnastic pictures from when it first started until today. When you look at the photos it shows you all the style and grace of several gymnast. The years of training shows in each photo. I enjoy researching the pictures with my little daughters to show them how all gymnastic routine should look. From the straight legs to the pointed toes. Maybe I would like them to see how flexible a certain gymnast should be like Olga Korbut how she could bend herself in a totally arched position.
The gymnastic pictures are there to keep our future in woman's gymnastics going. It encourages young girls to train hard and do their best. All young girls should have a hero to look up to. Why not make it a famous gymnast such as Cathy Rigby, Mary Lou Retton, Shawn Johnson or Nastia Liukin.
My little granddaughter watched Nastia Liukin perform at the Beijing. She fell in love. We started recording all the Woman's gymnastics meets so she could watch them over and over. Soon after the cartwheels started and now she's trying to do on kip ups and front handsprings. I find it to be wonderful that we can look up on the internet several of the gymnastic pictures and we can sit and relive the moments and watch them together.
There is so a lot more information that we can research today just by looking things up online. Gymnastic pictures are at our fingertips and there is no limit. Instead of having a paper scrap book of all the photos of the gymnast you can do an online scrap book and have as many as you want and dream as much as you can. There are decades of photos and descriptions posted for all sports enthusiast to read and look through at their own time. There are several blogs and articles from all over.
