Haverford School Dominates Hempfield 19-9
Hershey, Pa. - June 11 - Haverford School got off to a 10-2 lead on the strength of the play of Co-MVPs Casey O'Rourke (4 goals) and Dan Maude (6 goals), and held off Hempfield to win the Keystone Cup - Pennsylvania's State Lacrosse Championship.

St. Louis, Mo. - June 24-25 - Mt. Lebanon's Jimmy Mullen just participated in the "USLacrosse Senior Showcase" played in St. Louis. He was one of three players from one from each region of the state of Pennsylania , who were part of 96 graduating seniors from across the U.S.  There were four teams: EAST, WEST, NORTH & SOUTH.  Jimmy was a member of the "North Team" of high school seniors who will play lacrosse for colleges next year which include Syracuse, Harvard, Cornell & others. Mullen will play for Dartmouth next year. Mullen scored the first goal in each of the two North games with a total of 5 goals for both games.  In the end the North Team team won the tournament!

Mt Lebanon, Pa - August 31 - Kee Joe Song has formally accepted the position of head coach of the Mt. Lebanon Boy's High School Lacrosse team. Kee Joe brings with him six years of coaching experience as well as over eight years of playing experience, all within the Mt. Lebanon district. He will be keeping those lacrosse players who are not participating in other WPIAL fall sports active in indoor and outdoor tournaments and training starting this fall. Kee Joe is presently in the process of
building his staff and we will advise everyone of these assistants as they are officially put in place.
Please help me in congratulating Kee Joe, and support him in his effort to continue the much envied and successful tradition of Blue Devil Lacrosse. It's great to see home grown talent come back as a coach and to continue to give back to the community as he did as a player not too many years ago. -  Fred Norton, President,  Mt. Lebanon Lacrosse
