Why is it such a big deal for civilians to wear ACU's?
I understand you have to earn the right to wear a full combat uniform. But what is wrong with somebody wearing the pants in public? As long as theyre not being dipshits disrespecting the colors or tryin to act like theyre in the service when theyre not, what is the big deal?
Thats like saying; "I see you wearing that football jersey... Well you dont play for that team so quit being a d-bag and take it off!!"
I am not one of those "dirtbags" who is trying to wear them out in public. As a matter of fact, I have enlisted and waiting departure to go earn mine.

would you really want to be seen wearing acus in public? i am in the army and am proud of my uniform, but as a civilian, the colors are horrible, and the pattern is even worse. i can understand camo. i wore that alot before i joined, but acu's? no way.
the biggest thing is that it is a uniform that is designed to set us apart from the rest of the world. we worked hard to be able to wear our uniform, and as such seeing someone only wear half of it feels like someone is spitting on my uniform. and no one does that to my uniform that doesn't want to go home with a new set of crutches. thats my opinion.
