CPR AND FIRST AID COURSES OFFERED SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 16


Coaches and Program Administrators:  In an effort to make sure all coaching staffs are in compliance with league rules mandating current certifications in CPR and First Aid, we are once again offering these courses for Western Pennsylvania Lacrosse Coaches.


WHEN:  Saturday, February 16, 2008

WHERE:  Room 447 Mt. Lebanon High School, 155 Cochran Road, 15228
    Park in main lot, enter Auditorium facing Cochran Road (front of building), look for signs to room 447.

TIMES:  8:30 AM - Check in for the 9 AM CPR (2 year American Heart Association) class. The class will run from 9 to 11:30AM.
                                     11:30 AM till NOON-Lunch break - Bag lunch advised
                                     11:45 AM-check in for those needing only the afternoon First Aid course.
                                      NOON till 3 PM - First Aid class (3 year American Health and Safety Institute certification)

Students who complete course work successfully will receive wallet cards to take home with them the day of the course.
                      
FEES:  $25 for each course, $50 for both,  Checks should be made payable to Ralph Pagone.  No cards may be issued without payment. 
     
IMPORTANT-  So that the instructor can plan to bring the proper amount of instructional materials, CPR dummies, etc. it is necessary that we have a good idea of the number of people attending both the CPR and the First Aid course.  I’m asking that each Head Coach check with your staff (including Middle School Program)  and call or e-mail Sam Shannon with the names of persons from your program who’ll attend the course(s).
            Please specify if the named individuals will be present for the CPR(AM session), the First Aid course (PM session) or BOTH.   If no one from your program will attend, please take a moment to report that also. That will save me a call wondering if anyone from your program’s coming or not.

(so the secretary can prepare a pre-registration check in list) of attendees from your program as soon as you have your totals, NO LATER THAN Wednesday, February 13th to Sam Shannon at samshannonjr@hotmail.com   or 412-853-4100.
